Just any rider might be content with attending the launch of the new Aprilia RS 660 at EICMA 2019 (photos in the gallery); they could wait a few months to read the first reviews in the trade press, or else start counting the weeks before the first test ride. But certainly not us racers!
As the first witnesses of the “origin of the new Aprilia RS era”, we want to know the most important thing and we want to know it now, before anyone else: what will it be like to ride the RS 660?
When it comes to having a preview of the real riding sensations of an Aprilia, we only accept the opinion of those who know them inside out: the guys from the Testing and Experimentation Department in Noale!
For the RS 660, our questions were answered by Mauro Salvador: 14 years at Aprilia, on his CV two years as a racer in international Superstock and Supersport competitions, working in the Research and Development Department since 2010, and currently involved in Vehicle Integration in the role of Performance Engineering Manager. In short, he’s probably the person who knows the absolute most about how the RS 660 rides in the real world!
