Max Biaggi back in the saddle at Aprilia Racers Days after years, and we were there!

The 2018 Aprilia Racers Days season is pretty much winding down at this stage, but it has certainly been jam-packed with excitement. Not only did we #bearacer club members get to try out the amazing RSV4 RF and Tuono 1100 Factory bikes on the track, but we regularly found ourselves sharing the boxes at some of Italy’s greatest racetracks with some very special “track-day buddies”.

This season has certainly delivered quite a few surprises, ranging from getting to ride shoulder to shoulder with Lorenzo Savadori, through to being on the spot when an RSV4 RF was delivered to its beaming new owner, a guy by the name of Loris Capirossi no less, and even included getting some lessons from Scott Redding, the Aprilia Riding Academy’s “instructor for a day”on how to master the Mugello circuit. There were quite a few truly memorable days this season, but for us there was one in particular that really stood out above the rest.
That day was 3 September 2018, at Mugello, when none other than Max Biaggi himself took to the track, together with our very own regular “racer” Loris Capirossi, three years after he last raced in the SBK World Championship series on the RSV4 (after scoring a well-deserved pole position for the Sepang race!). A truly special way to celebrate his recently announced appointment as Aprilia’s worldwide ambassador.

A truly special experience that was not only particularly thrilling for us as we stood there watching the pair of RSV4 RFs dancing between the kerbs but also, according to Max, equally exciting for the two of them. Two great bike racing champions back out on the track together, bound by a great friendship and their shared passion for the Aprilia brand!
