4 championship points for Aleix Espargaró, taking 12th place at Misano. A poor return for Aprilia Racing Team Gresini MotoGP when compared to the determination shown by our no. 41 on the Emilia Romagna track: starting from 15th on the grid, he soon made up several positions by lapping consistently and thanks to a few crashes involving drivers ahead of him. The poor grip of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, however, didn’t help the performance of the RS-GP or of Aleix. Although he managed to get close to the riders battling for the top ten, he was unable to attack the higher positions, ending up in a hard-earned 12th position.
