As confirmation of the progress clearly evident during the latest races, Aleix Espargaró authored one of the best performances of the season astride the RS-GP. Fast all weekend long despite a track not exactly favourable for the Aprilia bikes, the Spanish rider had to give up due to a technical problem during the race. Aleix started off well, as he battled it out with Petrucci for a place amongst the top ten and kept an eye on the group brawling for the fourth to eighth positions. During the eighteenth lap, however, our 41 had no other choice than to return to the box due to a technical mishap, probably electronic and now under the close scrutiny of Aprilia’s engineers. In any case, the big disappointment brought on by his retirement is not stopping the advance of the Noale-born motorbike and the good feelings of our team’s veteran, who is watching Aprilia become increasingly competitive.
