« It was absolutely amazing to be riding a bike through some truly spectacular landscapes, wheel to wheel with Lorenzo Savadori, a great guy who was always more than willing to answer all our questions and satisfy our curiosity at any time, including at breakfast and lunchtime when we all (including Lorenzo) found ourselves chatting and joking like long-time riding buddies.
The entire weekend, from breakfast-time on Saturday through to when we said our farewells on Sunday afternoon, was an endless succession of unique and exciting experiences, but if I really have to choose, I would have to say that for me the best part was the visit to the pits. There, all together in the same place and at the same time, were the Aprilia racers Aleix Espargaró and Scott Redding with their respective RS-GPs, the most powerful and technically advanced Aprilia bikes in the world, as well as Aprilia Superbike racer Lorenzo Savadori, the technicians and mechanics that ensure that these bikes are ready to race, the Aprilia personnel that accompanied us the entire time, the Team’s guest Alessandro Cattelan (who we also got to meet) and the organisers. Each and every one of these people made us feel really at home and as if we were truly part of this world… oh, yes, and then we participants were there in the thick of things too, of course!»
