After “5 tips from Lorenzo Savadori on how to ride a bike on the track” the time has come for six-time World Champion and Aprilia Ambassador Max Biaggi to step up to the lectern, or rather to jump on an RSV4 RF Factory Works bike during Aprilia Racers Days and take us out to discover the magical “Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello” to talk us around the circuit, bend by bend.
A circuit that Max and our Aprilias know very well indeed, at least as well as “playmate” Loris Capirossi who’s leading the way for “Il Corsaro” in this onboard video, an exclusive preview for the #bearacer club!
It’s unbelievably exciting to see the video phase out at the end of the pit straight of the Mugello circuit, with the speedo clocking 312Kph! It’s even more exciting to think that “the flying RSV4” has been a fixture in the pits at all the Aprilia Racers Days. Max Biaggi: “Absolutely great! Obviously it’s impossible to relive what we used to do back in the day when we were racing, but this bike is incredibly fast and Loris hasn’t lost his inimitable style so this experience was like a real blast from the past. This RSV4 was born to race and it felt like I was back on my SBK again. It’s really, really fast and great fun too”.
Loris Capirossi: “It was great to have the circuit all to ourselves, and not just any circuit at that, but the Mugello, wow! As always, Max is the kind of guy who never gives up and really opens the throttle wide. I really enjoyed riding the RSV4 Factory Works bike. Power and torque make a huge difference at the Mugello circuit and I thoroughly enjoyed it”.
